Okay so for my first journal entry on Deviant Art I wanted to make sure the FIRST entry was THE BEST THING THAT HAD HAPPENED TO ME SO FAR! But anyways...*clears throat* okay so back to the subject. Yesterday (after riding in the show and getting ABSOLUTELY NOTHING -this is a horse show and I'm riding a HORSE...I work at my barn as well-) I started working about 11 or so...it was about 106 degrees IN THE SHADE and the day was going pretty shitty. But around 4 or so I was manning the door prize table and saw that they were raffling off a BRAND NEW LAPTOP and the tickets to get into the raffle were only $10 a piece.

So I bought a ticket, knowing full well that I was probably not going to win it...but I knew the money was going to our barn and knew that was for a good cause. A few minutes after that I went back into the barn to see if the horses needed water...and since it was SOOO FUCKING HOT they did. So I started watering the horses, about an hour or so (and 20 or so horses) after I bought the ticket other workers/volunteers were walking by me congratulating me on the winning of the laptop. I just waved the first few people off thinking that they were just trying to cheer me up, because I wasn't in the greatest of moods...the reason for this bad mood won't be discussed...then a little girl (one of the barn owner's children) came and took me from watering the horses to verify that the (very shitty) hand writing on the ticket was indeed mine...AND IT WAS! One ticket out of almost 20 or 25 AND THEY CHOOSE MINE! ^_^
